Meet Your Guide
Emmalie Lynch
Mother of two, wife to her high school sweetheart, and trained Montessori infant/toddler guide.
ABOUT ME
Since discovering The Montessori Method of early education, I have become not only a faithful practicing parent but I also committed to becoming certified in Montessori Infant/Toddler education through The Center for Guided Montessori Studies. Throughout the certification process, I worked both in Montessori classrooms and one-on-one with children as a Montessori nanny. Over the years, I fell more and more in love with this incredibly simple, intuitive, gentle, beautiful approach to parenting and early education and I don’t want to keep all I’ve learned to myself.
A few other interesting facts about me:
– My husband and I have been together since 2005 and married since 2015.
– I have a BA in magazine journalism.
– I’ve been to Canada, Mexico, and Italy outside of the U.S.
– I love hiking but hate camping.
– My home is slowly becoming a jungle of indoor plants.
– I run a local monthly puzzle swap group with my best friend.
ABOUT MY FAMILY
Montessori’s method is a whole-family approach, meaning the core concepts must be practiced by all in the family in order for things to really take root. I’ve been so fortunate in my marriage to have a husband who has been the most incredible cheerleader for my Montessori education and most invaluable sidekick in upholding this approach in our family with both of our boys.
Joe holds a PhD in behavioral neuroscience but currently works from home as a project manager for a software implementation company. He loves road cycling and participates annually in the Great Cycle Challenge for kids’ cancer research.
Oscar is my oldest son and Arlo is the youngest. Both kids inherited their curls from Joe but the blonde from me. I post about my boys often on social media, documenting fun activities, silly moments, or just anything I don’t want to forget.
